Yes, that is me with a live Bearded Dragon comfortably attached to me. The Bearded Dragon is from Australia, and it is absolutely terrifying to hold. That is what I learned this past Sunday at the exotic animal show at the JEC. Over 175 people also learned a lot about other animals; like the Florida soft shelled turtle, big lizards, huge snakes, and even a baby alligator! Not only was the show funny, silly, and fun, it was also educational. Our wildlife expert, Chris, entertained the children and the adults. At the end of the show, everyone was able to come up and touch some of the animals. The best part was when we served ice cream (of course). Now, if I can only get this Bearded Dragon off me... |
